Congratulations to Hubentud Fortuna, a relative newcomer in the Curacao First Division competion. After an exciting round robin and a final in a packed SDK Stadium Hubentud Foruna celebrated their well-earned victory.

Training Youth Coaches
In December 2009 Errol St. Jago of KNVB (Netherlands) came to Curacao to give a basic training for youth trainers and several clinics for young players. Over 40 youth leaders participated in the training.

Starting January 30th, NAVU provides these trainers with the opportunity to get an official KNVB Trainer/Coach III Youth certificate by participating in the training given by technical director Etienne Siliee.

Cooperation
KNVB
In September 2009 KNVB-president Michael van Praag visited Curacao to meet with NAVU and its officials. The meeting was sealed with the signing of a new cooperation contract.  KNVB will support NAVU in her ongoing efforts to develop the football sport in the Netherlands Antilles and to eduacte her staff. Project NEC
The cooperation between NEC, NAVU and Fundashon Bon Intenshon resulted in yet another Antillean youth player entering in the NEC Football Academy. Ryad Monte and Shannon Carmelia entered the Acadamy in 2008.
